Keokuk Community School District’s free 1/2 day public early childhood program is located at Torrence Preschool, 1721 Fulton Street. Torrence Preschool is a premier preschool program certified by the state through the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP). Central Office is also located at Torrence. Central Administrative Offices are located upstairs for all Central Office Staff.

Torrence Preschool has three preschool classrooms. Each classroom has a state certified teacher with at least one associate. Preschool students attend Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (morning classes only, no afternoon classes), Thursday, and Friday. The morning preschool session is from 8:00 am-11:00 pm and the afternoon preschool session is from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. The maximum preschool class size is 20 students, which is a 1:10 adult to student ratio. At Torrence, we strive to provide students with a foundation for future educational success in Kindergarten and beyond.
