Keokuk Community School District’s free 1/2 day public early childhood program is located at Torrence Preschool, 1721 Fulton Street. Torrence Preschool is a premier preschool program certified by the state through the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP).

Torrence Preschool has three preschool classrooms. Each classroom has a state certified teacher with at least one associate. Preschool students attend Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (morning classes only, no afternoon classes), Thursday, and Friday. The morning preschool session is from 8:00 am-11:00 pm and the afternoon preschool session is from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. The maximum preschool class size is 20 students, which is a 1:10 adult to student ratio. At Torrence, we strive to provide students with a foundation for future educational success in Kindergarten and beyond.
