KHS announced Homecoming Court

The Keokuk High School has announced the Homecoming Court for 2023. The freshmen attendants are Jayden Breuer and Mia Fotjik, the sophomore attendants are Carter Killoren and Darby Tackes, the junior attendants are Andreas Harmon and Katelyn Eby, and the seniors King and Queen candidates are Julio Akinyooye and Kiersten McNally, Malachi Douglas and Alayna Mott, Justin Handyside and Kyla Muston, and Jakob Mott and Heidi Rose.

 

KHS students will vote on Homecoming King and Queen candidates on Tuesday during the school day.

 

Candidates will ride in the Keokuk Chiefs Homecoming Parade on Main Street at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21. There is a pep rally at Calvert Stadium following the parade and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned, as well as their court will be recognized.

 

The KHS Homecoming football game against the Washington Demons will start with the Freshman/Sophomore game at 5 p.m. and Varsity will follow at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the half-time entertainment will include performances by the KHS Marching Band, Color Guard and Little Feathers. There will also be a presentation of the Homecoming Court at half-time. 

 

The KHS Homecoming dance for KHS students will be held from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Wright Fieldhouse. Cost is $5 per person and any form of ID that proves that a student is from KHS will work for entry.
