Nikki Kelly, Miss Iowa 2013, included time in her crowded schedule to address the students in her hometown schools on August 21. She offered the students a glimpse into how the opportunities that she encountered throughout her school days has helped prepare her for her role as Miss Iowa. Additionally, she challenged the students to be involved in school and “follow their passions”. She took time for photographs with former instructors and students, answered student body questions, and signed pictures with individual notes to staff and friends. The staff and students of the Keokuk Community School District wish Nikki the very best in next month’s Miss America Pageant.
