Madison Pfaffe and Blake Wade exhibited their Science Club Energy Project at the Eastern Iowa Science & Engineering Fair (EISEF) in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, March 19. They were awarded:
- Alliant Energy Outstanding Achievement Award
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers-2nd Place
- Eastern Iowa Science & Engineering Fair (EISEF) Class I Award
- Finalist Ribbons in which one of the 5 Physical Category Finalist
They have been selected to attend the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in Phoenix, AZ, the world’s largest international pre-college science competition all expenses paid. In addition, they received a $7,500 scholarship and a $500 scholarship, and $100 each for participating in this fair for 6 years. Grand total-$10,000.00. Their teachers/sponsors are Arie Schiller & Sarah Hawkins. Congratulations to all the students from Middle School and High School who entered this year’s competition. They will move on to the State Science Fair at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa March 31-April 1st. Good Luck to all!
