Greetings parents and families of Keokuk High School-
My name is Adam Magliari and I am extremely excited to be joining the amazing staff at KHS as the new principal. I am very passionate about education and the opportunities it gives our future generations. I look forward to partnering up with you to provide our students (your children) an enriching high school experience. I recognize the importance of a strong home-to-school connection. Being the parent of two children myself, I realize that parents are a child’s first teacher and I believe by working together we can help to optimize their education.
Before joining the Keokuk school district, I served as a teacher for 11 years; 8 of those years at the high school level. I have a passion for educating at the secondary level and I understand that these are pivotal years in your son/daughter’s life. Graduation should be the essential goal of every student that enters our building. We want to help break down any barrier to this goal by providing a strong partnership with every family to ensure the success of every student. Attendance is extremely important in seeking this success. Please make sure your child makes attending school everyday a number one priority.
I also believe that great schools are the result of great teachers. As an instructional leader, my primary objective will be to ensure that every student receives high-quality instruction from every teacher at KHS. In order to accomplish this, I will be providing teachers with feedback on their instruction and access to professional development. I will be working closely with our assistant principal, Heather Davis, and our new instructional coach, Natalie Ulloa. I value their input tremendously and their passion for education. Together with the staff, community, and all the stakeholders we will continue to make Keokuk High School a great place to learn.
