ParentSquare for Staff
ParentSquare is the new primary communication tool for family communication in the district. Whether you are sending class-wide information (using Posts), individual messages to parents, guardians or 6-12 students (using Messages), athletics updates (in Groups) or school-wide/district-wide information, it’s expected that families receive this information through ParentSquare.
Why ParentSquare? Communication feedback from the district family has revealed one common thread, that they are confused on where to find information and news. This appears to be a bigger problem for the new-to-district families. The district was doing a great job communicating, but so many of teachers and coaches had to use different modes of communication, that parents and students were overwhelmed and missing information.
ParentSquare was one of many apps considered:
• 7 Demoed/27 Points Compared from Alerts to Calendars, etc.
• 1 Stood Out – ParentSquare/StudentSquare
• Parents Download 1 App
• Replaces SwiftK12 (which no longer exists as of July 1) and all other communication apps.
• The findings were presented to the superintendent and then the board, the app was approved.
