Students will be divided into grade level teams and will rotate between three main presentations. The first event will be in the gym where students will visit a number of informational booths including: Birthright, YMCA, Lee Co. Pregnancy Prevention/Planned Parenthood, ADDs, Keokuk Area Hospital, Lee County Public Health, TSS, Tri-State Coalition, Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, SCC Nursing, Keokuk School Lunch Program, Big Brother, Big Sister, IA State Penitentiary K-9 Unit and Lee Co. The second event will be hosted by the Coast Guard. This will open in the cafeteria and spill out onto the front lawn. This may begin with some type of short video clip in the cafeteria and then they will have a small boat here to show students different physical drills that they do as a part of their training.
The third event is two speakers. The first is Andy Whitaker. He will be talking about sexting and other electronic harassment issues. The second speaker is Nick Foss from Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services. He will be talking about youth gaming and gambling issues.
