Apples!

We are getting a head start for Farm to School month in October! Mrs. Hinton’s kindergarten class recently visited Baxter’s Apple Orchard in Nauvoo. The students enjoyed learning about growing apples, peaches and grapes. Students got to taste grape juice and grapes. They also got to pick their own apple to take home.

ST Math

Hawthorne PBIS

Hawthorne held a PBIS Kickoff Saturday with a little help from the community. KHS Konnections volunteers, police officers, and firefighters helped staff with a family fun day.

Sportsmanship at George Washington

As part of the PBIS kickoff, George Washington students participated in a kickball tournament to learn expectations and sportsmanship. Mr. Campbell’s fifth grade bear Mrs. Smeltser’s fourth grade in the final earning a trophy that will be up for grabs again at the end of the year.
