The Keokuk Little Feathers and the KHS Winter Guard had a very successful experience at the 2018 ISDTA Team State Dance Competition this year!
The KHS Winter Guard earned a Division I rating for their competition routine Friday, December 1, 2017. Their performance was simply beautiful!
At the ISDTA Solo Competition in Newton, Iowa on November 3, 2017, Ariana Padgett, Madison Benson, Lakota Daniels, and Jenna Summers all earned Division I ratings with their unique solo routines. Hana Woolf also earned a Division I rating and placed 5th with her flag solo!!!
The Keokuk Little Feathers placed in all 3 categories that they entered at the 2018 ISDTA State Dance Team Competition this past week!
The Little Feathers earned 3rd Place in Prop for their energetic and unique teeter totter routine from Dr. Seuss’s Thing 1s & Thing 2s and the Cat in the Hat. These ladies also earned 3rd Place in Novelty for their creative Pink Panther routine.
The Keokuk Little Feathers continue the tradition of excellence during this 47th year of Little Feathers. The Feathers also earned a state title by placing 1st with their Kick routine Friday, December 1st, 2017!
All 7 of the KHS Little Feathers who competed at the ISDTA Solo Dance Competition Saturday, November 4th, 2017 in Newton, Iowa earned high honors of Division I ratings!
Great job, Emily Gibson, Kerrigan Eckland, Calla Huston, Kara Kavanagh, McKenna Tackes, Brooklyn Washburn, and Kendall Watson
On top of that superior feat, Mckenna Tackes earned 12th place, Kendall Watson earned 6th place, and Calla Huston earned 4th in Class V Dance!
What an outstanding and amazing group of dancers! Iowa has some of the top dancers in the nation and to have 3 dancers place this year, with the others very close in line is such an honor for KHS and the Little Feathers.
Color Guard Director – Roslyn Garcia and Little Feather Director – Shannon Guy are extremely proud of these performers, the growth they have demonstrated, and their outstanding accomplishments. These performers are true representations of K-Pride in every possible aspect their lives. Their dedication, hard work, and high skill levels continually inspire those around them. Be sure to come out and support these performers and ALL the KHS programs.
