11/10 COVID-19 Update

Dear KCSD Families,

The Iowa Department of Education has granted Keokuk Community School District permission to move to primary remote learning through Friday, November 20th. This is due to the rapid increase in positive COVID-19 cases in Lee County. During this period, teachers and staff will be working remotely with students to provide instruction and support. Students will be bringing district issued technology devices home to assist with this process.

All extra-curricular activities are suspended through an in-person format, however may utilize a virtual format if possible.

Our hope is to return to the previous method of instruction following Thanksgiving break. We will be communicating information regarding the return as that time gets closer.

To ensure the students of Keokuk Community Schools continue to receive healthy and nutritious meals during the school closure, the Keokuk Community School District, will provide an opportunity for families to drive thru and pick up grab n’ go meals for the children 18 years and younger in their family, at 11 locations throughout the district. Additional information will follow.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping all students be successful during this unprecedented time.

Christine Barnes
