National History Day Competition

On Friday, March 14, the students of World Studies went to Fairfield to participate in Iowa’s district competition of National History Day. Four out of the five groups advanced to State and will compete for a shot at nationals in Des Moines on April 28th. Nick Long and Clark Bogner participated in group exhibit with their entry “The Hubinger Empire.” Wes Hunt, Madeline Berner, Priya Khanolkar, and Joley Seitz wrote and performed “Rights and Responsibilities: When Teachers Strike Back,” as members of group performance. Chanel Nguyen competed in an individual performance titled “Christopher Columbus: The True Story.” Holly Noneman participated in Individual Exhibit titled “Iowa Liberty and Justice for All.” Yiyang Liu and Steven Liddle created a group website “The Atom Bomb: Can a Wrong be Rectified?” Congratulations to all of these students for being an excellent representative of Keokuk High School.
