KMS Math Bee Results

On Thursday, February 13th, fifty Keokuk Middle School math team members participated in the 8th annual KMS All-School Math Bee. This competition consisted of five individual rounds of math problem solving and two team rounds. Each team had four members made up of a combination of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The top six individual scorers were: Helena Snyder, Evy Merydith, Raechelle McKay, Alex Wolter, Jerry Glenn and Kendall Watson.

The top 6th Graders were Gabe Love, Hunter Alberts and RJ Bryant; 7th grade Alex Wolter, Kendall Watson and Tristan Kirk; 8th grade Helena Snyder, Evie Merydith and Raechelle Mc Kay. The team of Gabe Love, Alex Wolter, Lakota Daniels and Kendall Watson finished in first. Perfect scores were posted for Kendall Watson, Raechelle McKay, and Helena Snyder.

Congratulations to all of the participants for an outstanding contest showcasing our young mathematicians. Each of the grade level teams are preparing now for their own Math Bees that will be held later this school year. Good luck to all of our mathematicians as they go on to represent KMS in these upcoming contests.
