KHS Students Promote SE Iowa

Des Moines-Madison Pfaffe and Blake Wade,  two Keokuk  High  School students, met  with Governor Branstad  and legislators and governmental leaders about the needs of the region at Great River Region Days in Des Moines on Tuesday.  Both are students of M Power U, a college-level class in leadership that offers high school juniors,  opportunities to experience leadership in action within the communities in the Great River Region of Southeast Iowa.  M POWER U students travel throughout the region to meet various community, business, civic, and elected leaders. Pfaffe presented to legislators a position statement on Renewable Energy and Wade on Improving School Lunches.
