KHS Hosts Guest Speaker, Community Invited

Jason Campbell, KHS Activities Director, has announced that on Sunday, August 16th KHS will be hosting a guest speaker in Wright Fieldhouse at 7PM.  Mitch Osborn, who is the current Activities Director and head basketball coach at Harlan Community High School will be speaking on how coaches, sponsors, parents, students, and athletes can work together to build a strong activities program that encourages and supports multi-sport and multi-activity participation.

Mitch Osborn was inducted into the IHSAA Boys Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach in 2015.  His career head coaching record is 633 wins and 132 loses.  His teams have won 3 state championships, been runners up on 5 occasions, and have made 18 trips to the state tournament. Harlan is known statewide for their successful programs that include 26 team state championships in 9 different sports.

Anyone who works with our students, as well as our parents, students, athletes, and community members are invited to attend.  His message will help us to continue to build on the successes of our programs at Keokuk High School and provide outstanding programs for our students and community.
