– KHS faculty members average 18 years of experience, and over 58 percent have earned master’s degrees.
– KHS offers travel study opportunities to Europe and more, as well as additional field trips
– We have expanded AP course offerings.
– Students can get in involved in a wide range of student organizations, including FFA, Art Club, Lighthouse Project (mental health), academic-based clubs and many more.
– With a community college in town, students can take in-person dual-enrollment courses at KHS and SCC (for college credit).
– KHS has been awarded the 2025-26 Therapeutic Classroom Grant in the amount of $144,000 according to the Iowa Department of Education.
– The Career & Technical Education (CTE) is based on Career Focus Planning and is an educational approach which helps students focus their education toward career development while allowing flexibility.
– Work-Based Learning experiences include projects, internships, and employment with community partners—offer hands-on learning that connects classroom instruction to real-world career pathways.
– Students who participate in Lee County CEO program will now earn college credit.
– Seniors are offered their own parking spots to personalize by painting.
