Green Becomes New Purple

Green once again became the team color on Friday as the KCSD hosted Chiefs Sportin For A Cure Green Out with the Keokuk Chiefs battling the West Burlington Falcons in Week 2 of Iowa High School football.

Now in its 3nd year, this event is a fundraiser for Let’s Cure CP, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Cerebral Palsy, and the K-Play initiative that is helping fund handicap playground equipment at Tolmie Park. This equipment will benefit area residents and families who live with CP, including Bentley McGhghy, son of head coach Matt McGhghy and his wife Nicole. The McGhghy and Payne families are to be congratulated in organizing this event to bring awareness to the Tristate area.
