STEM Nominations Due

DON’T FORGET!
2016 I.O.W.A. STEM Teacher Award Nominations due December 11

UIowa College of Education

The nomination deadline for the 2016 I.O.W.A. STEM Teacher Award is right around the corner, and we need your help to promote this award and recognize a STEM teacher who goes above and beyond to engage and inspire their students in STEM learning. This award is dedicated to honoring one teacher from each of the six STEM regions for their contribution and dedication to STEM education in Iowa. Each winner will receive a $1,500 award with an additional $1,500 for their classroom. Anyone can submit a nomination for an Innovative, Outstanding, Worldly and Academic (I.O.W.A.) teacher at stemaward.fluidreview.com from now until December 11, 2015. After a teacher is nominated, they will be asked to fill out an application by January 22, 2016. That information is then sent to a panel of judges who will select the six recipients to be honored at a formal reception at the Governor’s residence, Terrace Hill, in April 2016. We appreciate the support in helping us spread the word on this opportunity!
