Senior from Girls Track team is recognized

Savanh will attend SCC Keokuk campus to earn her associates degree in business management. Savanh will then transfer to the University of Iowa to pursue a double major in psychology and photography while minoring in dance.

KHS students volunteer to sandbag

Ryan Egley and Dakota Shaw, KHS students and athletes, as they volunteer to sandbag at Roquette last weekend.  The two were part of a group of KHS wrestling team members that were organized by Coach Tommy Rose to help keep water from reaching Roquette.

Scholastic Art and Writing Contest Awards

KHS Students Awarded at State Science Fair

Pictured are the 14 KHS students who represented Keokuk on April 4-5. Over 700 students from the state gathered at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames to compete at the science fair. 2013 State Science Fair Participants

Over 700 students from the state gathered at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames to compete at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa. 11 middle school and 14 high school students represented Keokuk. Miss Arie Schiller, Science Club sponsor, and 7th grade Science instructor, was also honored at the event.  

MAP Testing-April 22-May 10

Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) is an assessment used throughout the KCSD to measure progress in reading and mathematics. Additional information for parents may be found at the NWEA website.

Preschool Openings

Torrence Preschool currently has openings for the 2013-14 school year.   Please pick up an application for the 4-year old Preschool program at any elementary building.  We ask that you return the application as soon as possible to George Washington Elementary.
